Reduce carbon emission to tackle climate change

We will reach net zero by 2050
Nestlé is committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050 to help reduce global warming by driving energy-saving measures in all operational processes, along with a commitment to switch to 100% renewable electricity and reduce carbon emissions in the transportation process.

Factories that promote sustainability using environmentally friendly technologies
Nestlé fosters sustainability through every process of production and transportation by using environmentally friendly technologies. All Nestlé's factories use 100% renewable energy in its manufacturing operations.

Pilot project of 100% electric-powered trucks to reduce carbon emissions
Nestlé Thailand has introduced 100% electric-powered trucks for transporting its quality products. The pilot program began with two trucks in 2023, running routes between the manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and partner stores. This is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 230 tons per year. The use of 100% electric-powered trucks will support the strategy to drive positive change for our planet, ensuring that Nestlé’s products and operations are environmentally friendly and sustainable, particularly in reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the production and transportation processes. This aligns with Nestlé’s goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

Moving towards 100% renewable energy production
Nestlé Ice Cream business group has launched a pilot project to produce ice cream using 100% renewable energy under a new initiative with EGAT in 2023. This makes it the first company in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry in Thailand to adopt a source-specific renewable energy purchasing model (Utility Green Tariff). By switching to clean energy, the company aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and drive toward its goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
