Water Stewardship and Sustainable Water Management

Water Stewardship for future generations
Water is a shared and precious resource that is essential for life. Communities need water to survive and thrive and business also depends on water. Responsible water management within the Nestlé group is driven by a solid water stewardship roadmap. We are committed to having all of our Waters sites certified by the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) by 2025. We seek to help create a positive water impact in our factories, in local watersheds, across our agricultural supply chain and in providing access to water in communities where we are present.

AWS Global Water Management Standards and Sustainability
The two water factories in Surat Thani and Ayutthaya provinces are committed to sustainable water resource management and environmental conservation, having achieved certification from the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), the only international water management standard in Thailand. They collaborate with stakeholders to establish guidelines, support community efforts in annual water quality monitoring, and emphasize the importance of sustainable water management practices.

Nestlé Waters cares for Water ‘drives water conservation with communities’
Nestlé wants to play an active role in helping conserve water resources everywhere we operate, starting from the surrounding area where our water factories are located. Nestlé is is the first company to launch The "Nestlé Waters cares for Water" project aiming to promote sustainable water restoration practices in three areas to consumers and communities: Learn: Educate and raise awareness of sustainable water resource conservation and management. Protect: Water sources prevent garbage from escaping into the river, which is a part of people's way of life. Restore: By creating biodiversity to enrich ecosystems. Inspire and create a network of communities where everyone can play a role and be a part of protecting shared water resources sustainably and passing on resources to future generations to have clean water for future use.
