Bangkok – April 11, 2017:  KIT KAT, the world’s favorite chocolate brand, is exciting Thai chocolate lovers this summer with the official launch of a new premium product line, the KIT KAT BAR. It’s inspired by the KIT KAT Chocolatory, a concept store where consumers can customize their own delicious KIT KAT creations. The new KIT KAT BAR is available in the two flavors most popular with consumers who visit a KIT KAT Chocolatory: KIT KAT BAR Double Chocolate and KIT KAT BAR Hazelnut N Cookies. These two new flavors are now available in stores all over Thailand.

The new KIT KAT BAR offers chocolate lovers a richer break filled with premium inclusions and a higher ratio of chocolate. The 8-finger tablet is crafted with two layers of extra-crispy wafer and a layer of indulgent creamy chocolate, wrapped in more smooth milk chocolate. Each bar is individually packaged inside a foil pack and a premium box to ensure it’s enjoyed at its best.

KIT KAT is also bringing its source of inspiration to Thailand for the first time with a KIT KAT Chocolatory boutique store, open for a limited time. Thai chocolate lovers can experience their own customized KIT KAT by choosing from a variety of ingredients, including local Thai flavors, exclusively available at the KIT KAT Chocolatory in Siam Center.

Today’s launch of the new KIT KAT BAR was led by Sandra Martinez, SVP & Global Head of the Confectionery Strategic Business Unit at Nestlé; Audrey Liow, Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Indochina; Sachin Goel, Business Executive Officer, Confectionery Business Unit for Nestlé Thailand and Malaysia; and Kriengsak Samransub, Business Development Manager – Confectionery. Celebrities Sean Jindachot and Suchar (Aom) Manaying also joined the launch, each creating their own personalized KIT KAT.

According to Sachin Goel, Business Executive Officer, Confectionery Business Unit for Nestlé Thailand and Malaysia, “One of the world’s favorite chocolate brands for over 80 years, KIT KAT is the perfect treat for Thai consumers looking for a fun and delicious break. Nestlé is taking the chocolate experience to the next level with the new KIT KAT BAR, inspired by the KIT KAT Chocolatory. Consumer response at KIT KAT Chocolatory locations revealed that the two favorite toppings are KIT KAT Double Chocolate and KIT KAT Hazelnut N Cookies, which inspired the two new KIT KAT BAR flavors we are launching in Thailand. I am confident that the new KIT KAT BAR will soon be one of Thailand’s favorite premium chocolates.”

“The KIT KAT Chocolatory is a concept store where consumers can customize their own delicious KIT KAT creations by choosing from a range of ingredients to add to the fingers. They have opened in the UK, Japan, Australia, and Malaysia, where the indulgent experience chocolate lovers enjoy at the KIT KAT Chocolatory has made them a great success. This is the first time the premium KIT KAT Chocolatory experience is available in Thailand, but for a limited time only,” he added.

At the KIT KAT Chocolatory at Siam Center, consumers can create their own KIT KAT, choosing from 12 exotic ingredients. They can also enjoy a pre-made, special-edition KIT KAT topped with four local flavors: KIT KAT Yummy Durian, KIT KAT Mango Sticky Rice, KIT KAT Rose Cha Thai, and KIT KAT Som Tum Delight. These four special-edition flavors are available exclusively at the KIT KAT Chocolatory from April 8 to 10, 2017.

Kriengsak Samransub, Business Development Manager – Confectionery at Nestlé (Thai) Ltd., said, “Inspired by the two favorite flavors at KIT KAT Chocolatory locations, we are launching the KIT KAT BAR Double Chocolate and the KIT KAT BAR Hazelnut N Cookies variants in Thailand. Thai chocolate lovers can now enjoy a premium KIT KAT BAR experience whenever they desire. We expect the KIT KAT BAR will soon become a premium chocolate of choice among chocolate lovers nationwide.”

A highlight of the launch event was a session to create customized KIT KATs featuring famous Thai actor Sean Jindachot, and Thai actress Suchar (Aom) Manaying. Sean Jindachot said, “I am very excited to be part of this launch, as KIT KAT makes my daily break such a pleasurable moment. I am a big fan of chocolate, and I love the indulgence of twice the chocolate offered by the KIT KAT BAR Double Chocolate.”

Suchar (Aom) Manaying said, “Chocolate is the perfect treat, as it’s quick, easy, and delicious. I look forward to some chocolate whenever I take a break from work or my daily life. The KIT KAT BAR Hazelnut N Cookies is ideal for a break, as it lets me relax while savoring the perfect balance of a nutty taste and crunchy texture.”

Inspired by the KIT KAT Chocolatory, the new KIT KAT BAR Double Chocolate and KIT KAT BAR Hazelnut N Cookies flavors both are now available in an 8-finger pack for 79 Baht at convenience stores, leading supermarkets, and hypermarkets nationwide.
