“MILO Futsal 2019 Road to Barcelona” Tournament Begins Celebrating its 10th Anniversary of fostering the legend of young futsal players to grow for success with sport

Bangkok – May 21, 2019: MILO chocolate malt beverage kicked-off the new season of the “MILO Futsal 2019 Road to Barcelona” tournament for Thai kids and youth from 7 to 15 years. The tournament is a collaboration between MILO and two key partners, the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), Ministry of Education, and the Sports Authority of Thailand. This year, the tournament is celebrating the 10th anniversary of MILO’s commitment to fostering the legend of young futsal players.

The MILO Futsal 2019 Road to Barcelona tournament encourages Thai kids to Grow with Sport because Sport is A Great Teacher. It runs from June to August 2019, with teams from across Thailand competing to win a trophy bestowed by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, plus academic scholarships worth a total of 676,000 baht. The highlights of the tournament are: 1) The MILO Green Card – The first of its kind in Thailand, the MILO Green Card is awarded to futsal players who best demonstrate the spirit of sportsmanship during the tournament; 2) MILO Camp - To develop holistic skills for selected players through futsal skills training, psychological training, and nutritional training; 3) Overseas Training at FC Barcelona - in which the representatives Thai players at the MILO Camp receive world-class futsal skills training in the Barca Academy Program; and 4) The MILO Champions Cup - The first time that selected MILO futsal players from Thailand will go to compete with MILO futsal players from other countries in matches that take place at FC Barcelona.
