Nestlé colleagues from various locations joined forces with our partners, local authorities and Khanom Jeen Canal community to promote biodiversity in a sustainable way in our recent Nestlé CARES employee volunteering community in Ayutthaya province, where we have successfully operated our Nestlé Water Cares for Water (formerly Youth Water Guardian) over the past nine years, with tangible positive impact, through three pillars: educate, protect, and restore.
In this activity, Nestlé CARES volunteers collected waste from the canal, released over 100,000 local fish into the water to promote biodiversity, and built a protected area for the fish to thrive. In addition, our volunteers also planted both aquatic plants and local trees for local people to benefit from.
