Bangkok – 26 October 2015: Nestlé (Thai) Ltd., the leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness company, has officially introduced KitKat Green Tea in Thailand for the first time. The launch campaign will feature Arlek Theeradej and Robot Green Tea, a good-natured mascot that is bringing KitKat Green Tea to Thailand. With a taste of Japan offered by smooth milky chocolate infused with aromatic Japanese Matcha green tea and crispy wafers, KitKat Green Tea offers consumers nationwide a new way to take a Japanese-inspired break.
The KitKat Green Tea launch event included Nestlé executives led by Ms. Audrey Liow, Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer for Nestlé Indochina; Mr. Sachin Goel, Business Executive Manager, Confectionery Business Unit at Nestlé Thailand and Malaysia;
Mr. Kriengsak Samransub, Business Development Manager – Confectionery at Nestlé (Thai) Ltd.; and Mr. Eugene Chan, Communications & Marketing Services Director at Nestlé (Thai) Ltd.
Also joining the Harajuku-themed launch was KitKat brand ambassador Theeradej “Arlek” Methawarayuth, who helped create a Japanese-inspired break experience, along with Japanese robot Robot Green Tea and fashionista net idol Apichet “Madiew” Atirattana; famous grandmother-grandson duo Arkradech “Benz Apache” Yodhajan and Sunan “Grandma Mheng Tung” Chaisathitporn; plus a rocking performance by the band MILD at Siam Square One.

The supporting activities for the launch of KitKat Green Tea include a TV commercial titled “KitKat Green Tea Robot” which will air starting 16 November 2015 and a road show that will give away 100,000 samples of KitKat Green Tea to consumers in leading supermarkets nationwide, at Silom Complex, and at the Art Box event at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
